20 years ago today, 'Bowfinger' opened in theaters to pretty good critical response, and decent box office numbers; yet it's one of those films that seems to be forgotten about. With all of this talk of Eddie Murphy's (possible) return to greatness with 'Coming 2 America' and 'Dolemite Is My Name', I keep thinking what his last great film was, and I truly believe it was 'Bowfinger'. Steve Martin also does amazing work as the title character; a washed-up, delusional producer who's looking to make it big by landing a huge movie star for his next, dubious production. The jokes are memorable, the direction is well executed, and the supporting cast elevates the film as well. There are some silly and unbelievable moments throughout, but it's what builds the character of the film itself. Do yourself a favor and watch this comedy if you haven't.IMDB: https://ift.tt/2YSPfG5 Wikipedia entry: https://ift.tt/2k4kYB1 via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2MZl9KR
