What's your favorite excuse from a director for their film being bad?

I've seen a lot of talk lately from several directors calling for directors'cuts to be released. Either for new films or bad films from years ago.Apparently this is a way for a director to redeem themselves and the full vision was lost in the editing room.I call major BS on a lot of these, but what is your favorite excuse for why a bad film was made? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/aoSsX6Y
