Between the dialogue being period accurate to a detailed level, to the casting knocking it out of the park, to being just a better remake of what was already a classic western in its own right, this movie needs to be recognized by more people. Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn truly embodies the dastardly marshal, a man that is so close to becoming the men he chases it is portrayed in a trial within the first 10 min in a way that you immediately don’t trust him on a sub conscious level. From there, partnered with the outstanding performance of Haliee Steinfeld and a surprise performance from Matt Damon, there are few westerns that can stand up against this masterful remake and a modern giant of its genre. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3zF1ead
