Now I'm not trying to make this post for the sake of hating on actors or being contrarian, but to gather some interesting perspectives, and in this case it would be critically acclaimed acting performances (regardless of what you thought of the film).I love Daniel Day-Lewis in everything but I didn't think his performance in Lincoln was anything special. I thought it was unintentionally comedic at times at how Oscar-Baity and over-the-top it was. The whole think about how people had to call him Mr. President just seemed over the friggin top.I love DDL in other films. I find his performances in Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood to be some of the best performances of the 2000s, but Lincoln just didn't do it for me.And I believe his Oscar for Lincoln should've gone to Joaquin Phoenix for The Master. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3lP5miF
