The Faculty (1998) - Robert Rodriguez's Resident Evil-esque high school horror movie

I'll start off by saying how much I love horror enter with these kinds of premises. An alien species arrives on Earth and starts taking over the human population by either taking over hosts or creating clones of its victims. Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Thing, Slither, the Borg from Star Trek, and of course The Faculty. Directed by Robert Rodriguez before he started making family movies in the 2000s, The Faculty combines that alien assimilation aspect with a high school teen movie and in my opinion, it creates a really fun movie. One big thing to mention about The Faculty, are all the names this movie brings, especially if you've seen a lot of movies and TV. You have pre-Lord of the Rings Elijah Wood, Josh Hartnett (who was in a ton of movies in the late 90s and early 2000s [Halloween H20, Virgin Suicides, Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, etc.], Clea DuVall (who I know as Sofie from Carnivàle), Robert Patrick, Famke Janssen, Salma Hayek, and even Jon Stewart as a science teacher.Sure a lot of the CGI is pretty wonky but this is a fun late 90s horror movies. It's like Resident Evil in high school, what more can you ask for? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3itVPvs
