After watching all the internet sleuths with no experience in investigating a murder and making outlandish claims in The Vanishing at Cecil Hotel, I was already turned off on this new trope. With the new HBO Max documentary What Happened, Brittany Murphy, it’s clear these people have no place in documentaries.
