For example, for me it's the "Seemingly Indestructible Villain". The bad guy who shows up and immediately leaves you thinking, "there's no way they can be destroyed!" They show no signs of weakness, they kill anyone they touch, showing no mercy. For some reason I go along with this trope hook, line and sinker every time it's served up, even though as we know the baddie usually gets their punishment.
