The Last Samurai: Why does Katsumoto say the blossoms are "all perfect" just before dies?

Earlier in the movie, Katsumoto says that you can spend your entire life looking for the perfect blossom and it would not be a wasted life. But then right before Katsumoto dies, he says they are all perfect without even seeing the blossoms up close. He just looks at a bunch of cherry blossom trees from afar and says they are all perfect. Why did he suddenly change his mind about trying to find a single perfect blossom? And right before his death, he says they are ALL perfect.I really like this movie, but I do not understand the meaning of this. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2XaMGjq
