This movie was critically panned and a box office failure, but I can't help liking it, even now.First of all, I love Kurt Russell in almost everything he does. Secondly, the initial testing challenge between the newly genetically enhanced soldiers pitted against the "old model" wholly organic soldiers is always good on rewatch, especially the scene where Kurt Russell is running down the runway and the new soldier, who left 20 mins later, jogs up behind him out of the fog. You catch the very very beginnings of his self doubt on his face; you can see the strain as he simultaneously understands he's not only obsolete, but what "obsolete" means in his world. The details of the film are less important to me than the overarching theme of "humanity still prevails". To watch Russell's humanity slowly surface despite his training and indoctrination is reassuring to me in a world such as this 😁. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2XJ5Ei7
