Now as an adult, I re-watched 'Death Becomes Her'

And my God, it's even better than I remember. I watched it as a kid once or twice (though my mama made sure to speed through the sexy parts, looking at you Isabella Rossellini) and thought it was hilarious as it was so goofy-- and as a kid 'goofy' is the top tier compliment you can give a movie. Now, as an adult, I can enjoy it on a whole other level. It's still goofy, but has such a weird charm to it! The whole setup and storyline is odd yet it pays off so well. The characters are silly and over the top but still wonderful to watch. The CGI (I think it's CGI), costume, and makeup is all top notch-- like Shaun of the Dead level of top notch with how they made Madeline and Helen look dead and injured. The acting? Obviously great considering who starred in the movie. I especially have a newfound appreciation for how well Bruce Willis plays a hysteric Ernest Menville - the way it contrasts with how histrionic and juvenile Madeline and Helen behave while perpetually trying to outdo and out-kill each other is just laughable. It is ridiculous in the best of ways and I found myself enjoying it 100% from start to finish. Just... A+ to whoever greenlit this script and movie, it's truly a gem. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3dt8Thk
