I have never seen the sequel, but the first one was an absolute masterpiece. The sheer grit almost had a tangible element to it. From start to finish, this movie was brutal and cut throat, no messing around and straight up business. There is a scene at the border where it is pretty obvious something is about to go down, something I missed the first time but is quite noticeable now is a barking dog which cements the intensity, it's like even the dog knew something was about to happen.Arguably the best scene of the whole movie - Is when Benicio Del Toro's character in Mexico confronts the man who is responsible for the death of his wife and child. In hindsight, this scene is relatively short but if watching the movie for the first time it's an eternity. The audience is shown a man with nothing left to lose who wants vengeance, but even when it does happen, the scene has you on such edge that it is a true "HOLY FUCK" moment.Masterpiece of a movie. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3oJw3o1
