I was for some reason searching for Colin Farell's movies. And i chanced upon this. Right away I knew it would be good because of 2 reasons. 1. The whole main plot could be summed up in just 1 line. 2. It opened with Sam Rockwell's face. Now Sam Rockwell, Tim Roth and Steve Buscemi are what i consider the golden trio of the top top top of dark humor (well humor is dark anyway, so i'll just stop saying dark now.) So yeah, Sam Rockwell. The story started with focus on Farell, and morphed into all sorts of things your mind contemplates when you are really really really down. It was beautiful. I liked the silliness but never levity, the deliberate lack of drama but not lack of empathy.. it's really hard to explain how i felt watching this.. i'll say for sure.. "it's got layers". You know i actually felt the heat of the desert and the sun going down. I felt deeply saddened deep down, and yet titillated at the face all through. It's a gem. Irreplaceable cast. Walken and Woody were good. I loved Farell here, more than other movies so i got my money'sworth. But Rockwell man..i am yet to see a sub par performance from him. A hidden gem for the passionate movies lover. Very consistent, no nonsense piece. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2K1RKkf
