What movies have a first half that's superior to the second half?

I remember watching the movie Lion a few years ago and being absolutely blown away by the first half of that movie. The kid gets separated from his family and winds up in a big city. He doesn't know anyone and he quickly has to learn how to survive in this environment. It reminded me of a Charles Dickens novel: vibrant, exciting, and about orphans.
