Not animated, not musically scored well, but just fun. Somehow every movie that Hayao Miyazaki touched became a storytelling masterpiece. The movies he and the studio produced in their lifetime just felt good. They had this peaceful, lovely, fantastical feel to them, they just made me happy and calm. Nowadays most movies are dark and serious, or extremely comedic. Those movies were serious but upbeat. I miss watching a movie that took itself seriously, and wanted to make me happy. They were so fun, in a way I can’t put to words here. Here’s hoping we see anything like them again. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3kg9hkC
