How great is it late in life when you discover an old movie you never knew existed and...it just blows you away and makes you forget about the world for a bit?

I just watched Paris, Texas and it really blew me away. The performances, the music, the emotion just everything. I know now that it was pretty successful at the time but I'd honestly never heard anything about it before.
