Starman is SOOOOOOO good. How come this John Carpenter sci-fi romance doesn't get the love it deserves?

Just the score by Jack Nitszche is iconic enough. I hadn't listened to the music in a long time and I got the feels instantly.I mean, the story itself was a risk: a alien and a widow fall in love. Most folks would find the plot weird unless you were Michael Jackson. But the movie is so poetic and so beautiful in its making that you just embrace the story. Love how the film deals with grief as well as a creature from another planet learning how human life works. Both leads take something from another.Hard to believe this movie came from the same guy who did Halloween and Escape from New York but it goes to show how versatile Carpenter was. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3mDW1bO
