Hello everybody! My name is Richie and I’m a huge film buff with Autism. I have dealt with anxiety, depression, and sadness. Movies was my escape to problems. I was always loved the art of film since i was 15.It all started on Christmas week of 2007 when i was i was done and became frustrated at life. I was picked on and was battling depression. One day, i thought it would be time to end it all because i was so upset and done with life. I was getting ready to kill myself but then i saw a DVD on the table and picked it up. I put on this very special important movie, it moved to me to tears because it showed how important life is when you have people that care about you and be there for you. That movie was It’s a Wonderful Life (1946). Ever since that day, I never contemplated or thought of suicide again and became a huge movie lover. Watching that movie would remind me of how precious life can be, even things are tough, and its a wonderful thing of how much impact you have on people. Now that I’m here 12 years later, im still loving movies. They inspire us and they lead our escape from reality. I can watch anything from horror to animated to comedy, they always make me entertained. Whether you liked or hated the film you watched recently, it somehow got you away from reality and helped you feel inspired. Movies are amazing and I’m very thankful. My top 5 movies right now are It’s a Wonderful Life, Goodfellas, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Lion King and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Those films are important to me.If I could snap my fingers and be non-autistic, I would not because then, it wouldn't be me. Autism is part of who I am and what made me so unique. Everybody has a story to tell and its our duty to make the best on what life has given us. Every day, there will be new challenges that are going to confront me but I will get stronger and more confident as I conquer them. I’m still standingHope you enjoyed reading this post about my love and passion for cinema. I’m gonna end this story with a quote from a special person: “Life is meant to be fun, joyous, and fulfilling. May each of yours be that - having each of you as a child of mine has certainly been one of the good things in my life. Know that I've always loved each of you with an eternal, bottomless love. A love that has nothing to do with each other, for I feel my love for each of you is total and all-encompassing. Please watch out for each other and love and forgive everybody. It’s a good life, enjoy it." Jim Henson via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2DFRUus
