I'm now realizing how awesome Paul Dano is

I'm wondering if he can be put in the same category of character actors like Philip Seymour Hoffman, cause every role I see him in he knocks it out of the parkThe silent son in "Little Miss Sunshine"The creeper suspect in "Prisoners"Crazy preacher in "There Will Be Blood" (not to mention he managed to hold his own against Daniel Day-Lewis)He played an excellent younger version of Brian Wilson in "Love and Mercy"Even in super small roles like "Taking Lives" (where he played the young version of a future serial killer) and "Fast Food Nation" as your typical dweeby teen McDonald's worker, he gives it his own attitude that's memorable. All while occasionally getting the crap kicked out of him too, and at age 36 he looks like he's in his mid 20s!I am curious though if we can call him a recognizable talent in films; with someone like Philip Seymour Hoffman everybody knows what he can do and has starred in multiple critically acclaimed films and gotten several Oscar nods, i dont think Dano is at that point yet. He definitely seems to have enough credit to be offered the role of the Riddler in Matt Reeves's Batman...Just some thoughts on him I wanted to give out via /r/movies https://ift.tt/35KBixi
