Can we stop giving Hans Zimmer sole credit for his collaborative works?

Hans Zimmer is undoubtedly an incredibly influential composer. He has redefined how modern film music sounds. He has earned his spot amongst Max Steiner, Korngold & John William as a giant of the field. However, I’ve noticed a bit of tendency to give him sole credit for his collaborative works. So let me say:The music for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was written by Klaus Badelt, while Zimmer produced the score. A number of other composers (seven in total) also worked on the score and composed sections of it.Hans Zimmer co-composed the scores for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight with James Newton Howard.Zimmer co-composed the score for Gladiator with Lisa Gerrard.Zimmer co-composed the score for Blade Runner 2049 with Benjamin Wallfisch. These great film scores come from partnerships, not from one person. I know it's very easy to simplify everything to just a couple of easy to remember names, but I think it's important to try and not to do this. Also while I have you here, the Misty Mountain song/theme from The Hobbit was not written by Howard Shore but by New Zealand composers David Long and the group Plan 9. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2Z3vnPH
