Tom Hanks Run From 1992-2002 Is Incredible.

It’s safe to say that Tom Hanks is one of the greatest actors of all-time. I bring this up because of friend of mine thinks Hanks is incredibly overrated and an average actor. I don’t know how anyone can say he isn’t a good actor with the run he had from 1992-2002.1992- A League of Their Own- A great baseball movie and Hanks is the best part of film. Giving a great performance and one of the most iconic lines ever.1993- Sleepless in Seattle- One of the best romantic comedies ever, it’s in AFI’s top 10 for rom-coms.1993- Philadelphia- Earned Hanks his first Oscar, an absolute amazing performance1994- Forrest Gump- One of the most iconic movies ever and Hanks performance will be remembered forever. Earning him his 2nd Oscar, back to back.1995- Apollo 13- Another great, iconic movie that was nominated for Best Picture.1995- Toy Story- Arguably the best animated movie of all-time. Hanks was the perfect choice for the voice of Woody.1996- That Thing You Do!- A pretty good movie that Hanks wrote, directed, and starred in. I found this movie to entertaining and funny. It showed that Hanks can also be a solid director as well.1998- Saving Private Ryan- One of the best war movies in history and Hanks gave one of the best performances of his career earning another Oscar nomination.1998- You’ve Got Mail- Another good romantic comedy with Meg Ryan. I prefer Sleepless in Seattle, but this movie is still really funny. The chemistry between Hanks and Ryan is undeniable.1999- Toy Story 2- Another great animated film and a tremendous sequel.1999- The Green Mile- In my opinion, The Green Mile is a fantastic movie and Hanks was excellent. The movie was nominated for Best Picture and I think Hanks was snubbed for an nomination.2000- Cast Away- Another classic film in which Hanks gives a top 3 performance in his career. He earned another Oscar nomination.2002- Road to Perdition- One of the most underrated gangster films there is. Hanks is great, giving a performance much different than anything else he has done.2002- Catch Me If You Can- One of my favorite movies, it’s so well done and entertaining. Hanks and Leo are great together and really elevate the movie to a different level. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2EbvhO7
