Just finished Moana (2016). Why did I sleep on this Disney pic for so long?

I know I'm 4 years late, but:The songs are catchy as heck.Disney animation has improved so much over the years. Flash back to when The Incredibles' Violet's hair was state of the art animation. In Moana the curly hair was fantastic, the ocean so REAL. There were a couple of shots I thought, for a second, were real life, not animated. The story is refreshing amongst other Disney movies. Not a princess, but a chief's daughter. Not fighting for a love or herself, but for the world. She doubts herself but realizes her worth and destroys that doubt. So fun. I think the last Disney animated movie I watched was Tangled (2010) (wow that's a long time...).Moana lifted my spirits! So colorful and pretty. Great cast. Funny. Not jam-packed with cheesy moral speeches aimed at children.Heart-warming to watch a Disney movie all about the lead POC girl who is defiant, confident, eager to learn. What a heroine!Watch it for fun if you haven't already! via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2X0c8Ve
