I’m a huge fan of the Tremors series but have only watched the first movie and the multiple sequels and tv series in recent years. I watched Tremors 2 on Netflix today for the first time in nearly 18 years and was surprised to honestly how good it was and holds up to the original, for a straight to video sequel!While you can’t consider is as good as the first film, the story is just the right amount of new and old to not feel like a lazy rehash of the original. The practical effects are great and the CGI isn’t terrible for the budget and time of release. I would say that there is a lot more humor in this one and doesn’t take itself as serious, even adding a couple of tongue-in-cheek jokes about being a sequel.While the other sequels and tv shows are enjoyable in a more campy way, Tremors 2 is a quality sequel that could have been easily justified with a theatrical run, especially compared to the quality of countless horror sequels that come out anymore. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2NlvL64
