For context, Disney Circle 7 Animation was a studio Disney briefly operated from 2004 to May 26, 2006.As part of Pixar's original distribution deal with Disney in the 90's, Disney owned the rights to Pixar's characters, including sequel rights. So when it was announced that Pixar and Disney were separating in 2004, Disney launched Circle 7 Animation to produce direct to video sequels to Pixar's movies without their involvement. The films they had in development were Toy Story 3, Monsters Inc. 2: Lost in Scaradise and Finding Nemo 2.After Disney CEO Michael Eisner was replaced by Bob Iger in 2006, Pixar was purchased by Disney and John Lasseter demanded Circle 7 be shut down and their films be cancelled. Circle 7's employees were absorbed into the Walt Disney Animation Studios, while Pixar would later make Toy Story 3, Finding Dory and Monsters University, none of which had any connection to Circle 7's versions of these films.Aside from Concept Art, it was assumed that Circle 7 never made it far into development into these films, but as it happens, members of The Lost Media Wiki managed to find full scripts for Toy Story 3 and Finding Nemo 2 within the last couple of months.Toy Story 3An early draft written by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner involved Andy visiting his grandmother’s house, and Woody and the gang ending up getting trapped in Andy's grandma’s attic. Woody, Buzz, and new characters Hee-Hee, and Gladiola try to find out who stole the other toys in a whodunit-style mystery. You can read the script here.Finding Nemo 2Finding Nemo 2 focused on Nemo reuniting with his long lost brother, Remy. Marlin then gets captured and sent to an aquarium named "PLANET BLUE," so now Nemo, Remy and Dory have to go save him.You can read the script here.Lost Media Wiki's page for the Circle 7 sequels) via /r/movies https://ift.tt/328L0nx
