Small Soldiers (1998) is a gem and still holds up today.

I loved this movie as a kid and watched it again recently and I still enjoyed every minute. Between the live-action actors and the voiceover actors, this movie had a hell of a cast for its time. CGI still holds up pretty well IMO. The action scenes were still fun as well. The movie had a stacked VO cast including Tommy Lee Jones, Ernest Borgnine, Jim Brown and SMG (to name a few) who were hilarious and really embraced their roles. Jay Mohr and David Cross had great chemistry and the late, great Phil Hartman was terrific as always with his part as Kirsten Dunst’s character’s father (and for any American Dad! fans out there, his wife in the movie, Wendy Schaal, voices Francine!).I always enjoyed that the movie was a little darker than one would expect for this type of film. Never really heard it brought up here. Does anyone remember/enjoy this movie? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2Qey4tU
