I discovered PTA when I watched Punch Drunk Love (2002). I was absolutely stunned and completely taken by surprise. It has got a unique style that I've never seen before in cinema. I immediately wanted to check out his entire filmography and his movies have gotten better and better. It's unbelievable how serious his movies are. Intended only for mature audiences who are seriously invested in proper storytelling.His best movie, for me, is undoubtedly There Will Be Blood (2007) which is also the most popular movie of his. All his other films are so well crafted. The Master, Inherent Vice, Phantom Thread, Boogie Nights... I just can't find an average or a bad movie.
