The town setting, black comedy, and townspeople reminded me of GremlinsSome of the suspense scenes, Jeff Daniels character clashes with authority, and his fear of spiders and him being the one to kill the main spider at the end reminded me of Jaws and Chief Brody. I almost expected Daniels to scream “smile you son of a bitch!” when he fires the nail gunA nice blend of both movies. An underrated gem via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2N9RsVY
