Ex Machina is an incredible movie

Minor vague spoilers, but I won’t give away specific plot points or endings. One of the best movies I’ve seen in years. So intelligent and thematic, and an excellent portrayal of some concerns on the future. It’s a fantastic reflection on how ingenious some of the upcoming creations of humanity are likely to be, yet how terrifyingly complex and unpredictable. We can plan all we want, but perhaps our brains will be borderline incapable of grasping how this AI could develop once it exists.I also love how simplistic this film is. It’s similar to how plenty of movies from the 70s and 80s are - very to the point and not overdone. A clear unconvoluted tangent-free path, few characters, virtually no sub-plots, and calmly artistic. What do you all think about the artistic elements of this movie? What do you think about the benefits vs risks of AI?Anyone who found this movie fascinating, I’d recommend this Ted Talk:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8nt3edWLgIg&t=613s via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2APYyZP
