Used Cars (1980) A brilliant cult comedy.

Kurt Russell plays a used car salesman whose dream of becoming a corrupt politician is threatened by his boss's evil twin brother who runs the rival car dealership across the street. This is an early Robert Zemeckis film that is simply a brilliant fun look at subject matter rife for comedy, the cast is incredible because aside from Kurt Russell - who was doing his best to escape his Disney image - but it also stars Jack Warden as the twin brothers, Gerrit Graham as an overly superstitious car salesman, Frank McRae as a Vietnam veteran now mechanic suffering from PTSD, Joe Flaherty as a crooked lawyer, and then to top it all of we have Michael McKean and David L. Lander (Lenny and Squiggy) as two wacky tech engineers who hack the Presidential address broadcast to sneak in a car commercial. This is currently the only rated "R" film made by Robert Zemeckis, and the "F" bombs fly with a machine gun regularity, but the highlight of the film is a massive "Cattle Drive" of 250 cars with some seriously crazy stunts, many performed by Russell himself, that both actor and director agree was bloody nuts.If you haven't seen this film you are missing out one of the all-time great comedies. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2LuTL68
