For me, it’s Kill Bill Vol. 1. Beginning right after that gunshot that hits the Bride in the skull, the credits flash on and off the screen to the somber, haunting sounds of “Bang Bang (He Shot Me Down)” by Nancy Sinatra. It’s simple, minimalist, and extremely effective in establishing what the Bride lost before she began her crusade of vengeance against Bill and the rest of his gang of assassins.
