The Incredibles (2004) was WAYYY darker than Incredibles 2

Warning, minor spoilers for the movies (mostly the first movie)The first Incredibles movie was actually quite dark, it goes through ideas such as: Suicide, Mid life crises, Obsessions, and MURDER, to name a few. You see things such as a man trying to jump off a sky scrapper, or the corpse of Mr incredible's friend (Gazerbeam). And just over all 15+ superheros are shown to be murdered in the movie, and around 15+ other non-supers (This includes things like Syndrome's Military forces blowing up, U.S. Army tanks, helicopters, etc)So all in all not even bringing up the themes in the movie about 30+ people die in it.​Now compare that to The Incredibles 2, where only 2 people die (one in a flashback- the other one off camera from old age). And the movie over all has a much lighter tone and theme to the whole thing.The Incredibles 2's darkest theme in the movie is probably the kids going through puberty.While i LOVE The Incredibles 2, i have to say that i do prefer the first one for having a lot more layers (like onions and ogres- I like you if you got that reference)​But what do you all think about this?
