Richard Linklater's 'Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight' is my favorite trilogy of all time.

I'm currently re-watching Linklater's Before movies for like the 6th time, in between Sunrise/Sunset right now, and it's made me realize that it's without a doubt my favorite trilogy ever. I cry-laugh my eyes out every time and the conversations always feel fresh & honest. I can't picture any other actors in those roles, Hawke & Delpy were the best & only choices. Linklater managing to do this while spreading them out over 3 decades proves he's a generational talent.Every movie in it is perfect from start to finish. No other trilogy has come close for me in terms of consistency. It's crazy how realistic the conversations feel. Almost like improv. Every reaction/detail from the performances feel like they were made up on the spot, like we're actually dropped into their lives. So many scenes that stick out and I randomly think about from time to time, like Sunset's Ending Scenes to Sunrise's Listening Booth Scene. Songs that feel like they were made for the movie. Each one surprises you with the ending but it always feels right somehow. What's your favorite trilogy ever? Back to the Future? LotR? The Godfather? via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2BDMFHw
