Anyone feel like r/movies only talks about the same ~50 movies in an endless cycle of quasi-hipster fandom?

I’ll start by saying it’s not really a bad thing, but I constantly see posts of “just watched ____” and I get a weird sense of deja vu every time. I’ll list a bunch of titles that immediately come to mind with this phenomenon.Donnie Darko Pulp Fiction American Psycho Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Mad Max: Fury Road Whiplash Children of Men No Country for Old Men 3 Billboards Moonrise Kingdom Grand Budapest Paddington 1 & 2 LOTR (every week there’s a “wow it still holds up” post) Drive Annihilation The Shining BR 2049 The Truman Show City of GodGreat movies but all sort of have a common denominator that I can’t quite put my finger on (besides most being less than 20 years old).Let me know what titles I missed. via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2RF49bj
