Now with more Holiday cheer!Hello all!/r/Letterboxd was basically completely abandoned by its sole creator/moderator, and the sub pretty much turned into a profile spam-fest, so I created /r/LetterboxdOfficial. I figured we could actually use a sub that could serve as a companion to Letterboxd itself, focusing more on the social aspect (discussion, list sharing, community challenges, etc.). We're not very big as a sub yet, but we're up to a little over 400 subs right now - not a bad start!Since we've opened the sub, we've implemented some of the most requested features to reduce spamming across the board and I think it's worked out pretty great so far. We've got user flair, post flair, a Discord server, Letterbotd (a neat bot to call upon if you're looking for quick film information), and much more!Feel free to come join us in our community! We're always looking for new people to join the discussions. This week for our Film Club, we're watching the last film that was voted for (Dogtooth by Yorgos Lanthimos) and voting for a new film. We'll be discussing Dogtooth this coming Friday, 12/7, so be sure to watch the film (available on Kanopy.com with a library card or student email) and discuss, share your reviews, and any accompanying lists!
