Doctor Sleep (2019) was a terrific movie in my opinion

Famke Janseen gave such a wonderfully sinister performance. One of the best recent villain roles in my opinion. I'm surprised more people dig this film. Maybe you had to be a fan of the book in order to fully appreciate it. That being said, I do think Henry Thomas's recreation of Nicholson's Jack Torrence was a bit weak, still better than digitally re-creating him though.Anyone else have thoughts on this? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/37XepI1
[For those who dabble in law] How would the characters in “Se7en” be tried?

I just watched “Se7en” to finish off Halloween with a little spookiness and was amazed by how good it was. However, I do have a couple of questions about how the characters that murdered people (because of the John Doe) would be tried in a court of law:The man who killed the prostitute. He obviously didn’t do it because he wanted to. In a real life court case, how would this be handled? Would he go to jail?David Mills killed John Doe. He was sort of provoked? I mean, Doe killing his wife could be seen as him being provoked and possibly in danger of being killed himself right?I would love to know how these cases would play out in real life! via /r/movies https://ift.tt/35PQ6co
Orlando BLoom's acting career. Would you say he ever showed he had range on film? Was he ever a box office star/movie star? Was he simply lucky to be cast in ensemble roles that were successful through no part of his own?

So recently, I saw Orlando on Carnival Row and he really impressed me. I'm one of those folks who find his best acting role to be in THe Kingdom of Heaven, Director's Cut. But I ask you what do you think of his acting career? He probably has to be one of the actors best associated with the 00s. He was everywhere and was in oh so many franchises. Wha was your fav role of his or what was his best performance? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/37Z28CT
Hellraiser (1987)

So last night I was looking for a Halloween movie to give me a good scare. As I was looking through amazon I came across Hellraiser. I’ve always known about the franchise because Pinhead is one of those iconic horror characters but I’ve never had the urge to seek it out. I’m somewhat resistant to watching classic horror movies after watching The Exorcist and being underwhelmed (which was totally on me, I knew all the tropes and references going in).But wow did Hellraiser impress/scare me. Such a simple plot that it wasn’t tripping over itself, amazing practical effects and some great existential horror. Also cenobites are my new fave thing. 10/10 would spook again. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2HVm9Pv
Everyone needs to watch "david attenborough a life on our planet"

It's so important that everyone watches it.I've learned so much from it and it makes me want to make a difference, it makes me want to go to the streets and demand people to give me the future that I and my entire generation deserve. I don't want the earth to become uninhabitable in a century. We need to make a difference. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3ehAeTu
