I really dislike when children are depicted as “miniature adults” that are super smart, sarcastic and better at life than the grown ups surrounding them

I enjoyed The Nice Guys but found the character of the daughter so exaggerated - she was unrealistically mature, intelligent and put together. I understand that her background might have made her grow up more quickly but still. Another example that comes to mind is the young actress in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. I’d love to see depiction of realistic smart children - they exist for sure, but they are not miniature adults who talk like 35 year olds with a higher pitched voice. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/yV9fQxH
