Ezra Miller's performance in We Need To Talk About Kevin is simply mesmerizing. The last scene between him and Tilda Swinton is some of the best acting you'll ever see and it hits so differently because of the shift of Kevin's character in that stage.

When Eva meets Kevin in jail and you see how totally shellshocked he is from the realization that now he's in prison and likely getting dealing with the harsh realities of it is simply amazing. Ezra Miller goes from playing a chilling psychopath to playing a genuinely scared and shellshocked child who is finally coming to grips with his actions brilliantly.
