What’s the worst case of character assassination committed by a movie?

I recently watched Pain & Gain by Michael Bay with Mark Wahlberg, the Rock and Anthony Mackie, and after watching it I found out there was some lawsuit where the subject of the movie (the kidnapping victim) was portrayed to be a much worse person than he was (movie made him out to be a dirtbag who sorta had it coming, real life guy says bs).I’ve heard similar things about movies like The Wolf of Wall Street and War Dogs, and I’m sure some biopics have taken liberties in this regard (I’ve seen some Bush/Cheney fans say Vice was slanderous against Cheney).What’s the worst case of this you’ve seen or are aware of? via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2X57Ob4
