The first half sets up the characters and the plot at a breezy pace. It allows for the story to move along nicely with some clever jokes and character beats sprinkled throughout.And then that second half with the dinner happens…and the rest is comedy history. The characters and plot have been put into place so well that it allows the movie to be one giant comedy sketch from there on out. I love every second of it.The Birdcage, go watch it everyone.
