Evolution (2001) is an amazingly entertaining film. It expertly combines slapstick comedy, situational humour, genuinely funny well developed characters, a cool scifi premise and action set pieces. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't already seen it. (the imdb rating does NOT do it justice)

It's sad that in the 20 years since it released, we haven't got anything quite like it. MiB 1 and The Mask come to mind but they came before this one. Also particular shoutout to Orlando Jones' performance. He has some awesome one liners in this:"So does the Nobel Prize pay in installments or in a lumpsum like the lottery""How many cells are single-celled organisms supposed to have ?""Nadine, sometimes science stinks."The mall singing scene is comedy gold. Also worth highlighting: The subtle racial humour from Orlando Jones and the harmless objectifying of Julianne Moore was really well done; but if this movie had come out today, woke idiots would have been outraged. Also the CGI was really good for its time via /r/movies https://ift.tt/37Epzji
