Small town beauty pageant goes awry in the most small town way ever. Starring 90’s icons Kristin Duntz, Brittany Murphy, and Denise Richards with Kristie Alley and Allison fuckin’ Janney. If you have every lived in a little Midwestern town you have met every single character in this movie. It’s like Best in Show, documentary style, but for teen beauty pageants - a very Cristopher Guest feel with some of his regular actors. Rewatched it tonight with someone who hadn’t seen it before and he about died laughing, it holds up well.
