There are so many great moments in it. When they basically spend half the movie talking shit to some other kids. Or just the aspect of how it was like one day basically shaped all of their lives.Granted the weirdness is that at the end, it was like "Everybody went on to live a happy successful life.. Except this one dude.. Who was obsessed with the 60's.. He just faded away." I tried to figure out where the "Present" part of the ending took place, and I came to the conclusion that it was in the 80's. Because they were kids in the 60's, and by the end of the film. They looked like they were in their 30's at least.I also read up on the sequels.. The 2nd film is basically a complete rehash of the first film. Instead of the main guy being Smalls. It's his younger brother, who I guess for some reason still thinks the new dog nextdoor and James Earl Jones's character is "mean". Which wouldn't make sense, because at the end, he basically made a deal to talk baseball with all of the kids every once in awhile. But the entire concept and plot is basically the first movie.Kids play Baseball, meet some new kid, ball goes into the same exact yard. They try to get it back. Find out the dog is actually nice. Also both were directed and written by the same guy as the first film. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/32z0zaD
