Death Proof (2007) was a pleasant surprise.

I have always been told that Death Proof was one of Tarantino’s worst films, but I absolutely loved it. Kurt Russell was absolutely menacing as the charming, yet creepy Stuntman Mike. The scenes in the bar in the first act were incredible in my opinion. The music in these scenes really just set an incredible mood and really makes it feel like you are there.The car crash scene was one of the better ones I have ever seen. Just brutal.Finally, the car chase scenes in the final act were breathtaking. The scene with real life stuntwoman Zoe Bell on the hood of the car being rammed by Stuntman Mike. Wow.Maybe it is just my peers who were down on this movie, or maybe it was the failure of its release with Planet Terror as a double bill? Either way, I don’t know why I waited so long to see this as I enjoy all of Tarantino’s work, but I am glad I did. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3fG75UW
