Hi everyone! The Academy Awards are happening on April 25 (a little over two weeks from now) - and to celebrate this, /r/movies is debuting a new feature that we hope you all will enjoy. Today, we are kicking off the first annual /r/movies Oscars Predictions Tournament!We have set up a Predictions Tournament that consists of multiple prediction posts, one for each Oscar category that will be presented. Every redditor that participates will start out with 1,000 tokens that they can use in this Tournament. All you have to do is, for each prediction, pick the choice that you think will win the Oscar and select the amount of tokens that you want to bet on your choice! It’s that easy!The process looks like this.During the televised broadcast of the Oscars on April 25, the moderators will update each predictions post as the Oscar winners are announced - and once that happens, tokens will be distributed back to the redditors who predicted correctly! You will also be able to see how you compare against other redditors on the Tournament leaderboard.
