OK maybe it’s Jaws but I have yet to ever see a monster film beat the quality of either of them. They both did good with such a small budget because they really understood how not showing the monster a lot benefited and when they do they cause the most damage and it’s shocking. Plus they both had a great cast that when the monsters aren’t attacking the people are actually fun to hang out with. Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. Two normal looking guys who just had great chemistry. Or the 3 guys from Jaws. Peter Jackson’s King Kong, Deep Blue Sea, Aliens, Jurassic Park and Pacific Rim were also pretty good, but Godzilla: King of the Monsters and The Meg really could take a cue or two from these. The casts was made of some talented actors but didn’t give them only thing fun to say or do, the monsters looked cool but just kinda show up and thrash around a little, and when In Godzilla they fight you could hardly see anything! via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3cRxc9V
