The Wailing must be one of the best horror films of the past twenty years

It's a long watch, but completely riveting. Great acting, soundtrack, and cinematography supporting an excellent story seeped in rural folklore and the meeting place of several different cultures. The second half of the film really escalated the horror and feeling of dread beyond most horror films I've seen of late. The foreboding is so intense. The actors are really standouts, especially the gentleman playing the Japanese man and the girl playing the protagonist's daughter.I'm still chewing over several scenes and the ultimate meaning of the film. Lots of good interpretations with this one. It's ambiguous but without feeling frustrating. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3pYqUt2
