I watched “The Usual Suspects” for the first time yesterday, and it was fantastic

I wanted to hear other people’s opinions on this film. I found the broken narrative, switching between the present day and the story related in the interrogation to be fascinating, and allowed the pacing to feel great. The various twists throughout the narrative, combined with some of the jokes and scriptwriting, gave the whole movie a tense feel. I particularly liked the decision to show the ship and a peek of the climax of the movie before it really gets started. It gets you wondering in the same way the investigators do, and the unreliable narrator allows the film to keep you guessing far longer than it should.
