How was the experience of watching Alien (1979) in the cinema/movie theatre?

So i just watched it for the second time. It's a movie that holds up perfectly. Even if the Alien itself does look old, it still scares a lot and Ridley Scott's direction makes it never be seen clearly so it won't look too robotic.I'm 20 so i wonder how was watching it back in the 70s-80s in the darkness of the cinema (or at home during night). via /r/movies https://ift.tt/3p54TZf
