I think the concept of having a grown Peter Pan return to Never Land was exciting but the end result underwhelms. The set looks stagy, especially the scenes set in the Hook's ship.Having Peter Pan be a grouch who re-learns his kid self had potential but then he got saddled with bratty, annoying children whom he's meant to save. I actually think Peter has a point in the film's first half. He had a family to support, he was struggling with his business and yet his kid is pissed he didn't see him in a stupid game? And his daughter does nothing but scream and sing. What grown adult wouldn't have a fit? Also, the romance with Tinkerbell is ill-advised and kind of creepy if you consider Tink, a grown woman-fairy, had a crush on a little boy. Also, Peter is married. It would have made more sense to have made Wendy into his wife instead of Peter falling for her grand-daughter.And the Lost Boys look like they came out from a Michael Jackson music video with their attire and that Rufio kid was lame as hell. Ugh. Captain Hook did something right.Dustin Hoffman and Bob Hoskins were superb, though. They deserved a better movie. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/2HeJThV

» Steven Spielberg's "Hook" should have been a huge hit and a timeless classic. Instead it under-performed at the box-office and has only achieved cult status.
