Some people think he's the worst actor, while others, including myself, think he's a great actor (more on that in a bit).I've seen a lot of Nicolas Cage movies. I've enjoyed lots of them (The Rock, Face/Off, Con Air, National Treasure films), but one of the "bad" ones made me realize it wasn't bad because of Nic, and it most certainly would have been worse without him. Primal is something you'd expect to see as a Cable TV film where Nic stars as an exotic animal poacher stuck on a ship with a deadly assassin. I didn't hate the film, but I think I would have if it didn't star Cage.I think Cage's strongest asset as an actor is his versatility; I can't think of any other actor who has the range Cage has. Not even two time Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks has the range of Cage.
