Let’s say you break the order in a desert that makes a race of mutant sand worms terrorise your town (tremors), or you steal a box of gold that is of Nazi origin and that makes a group of Super Zombie Nazis kill you and your friends (Död Snö 1 and 2)By this explanation, almost every movie where the main characters meet a group of monsters could take place in the same world as Cabin in the woods. For example, someone in the world of Shaun of the Dead could have accidentally consumed a mutant piece of meat and caused a zombie outbreak. The fish in Blood Quantum could have been a monster in the chambers that were released in canada for the sake of saving the world. Watching a haunted tape could have caused the ring movies. Will Byers getting kidnapped could have just been a ploy by the organisation to make the events of Stranger Things.
